The Tron 80 Whoop HD is built on the proven Pusher frame design, which allowed the developer to improve stability and overall flight efficiency. The drone’s versatile design makes it best for indoor racing as well as small cinematic flights and freestyle.
It is noted that the frame, designed from scratch, received an optimized center of gravity and was strengthened, as a result of which it was possible to achieve exemplary flight efficiency and strength.
Thanks to the optimally selected power plant of our own design (F1103 8000KV) coupled with the recommended battery (3S 450 mAh LiPo), we managed to expand the range of flight time to 6–7 minutes, which is not bad for the UAV racing niche, the maximum flight time of which is on average 4–5 minutes.
The maximum flight time (6–7 minutes) was achieved indoors, without wind and with a new battery. The result was considered to be the average time obtained for one non-stop flight, which implies that in different environmental conditions and in different flight modes, the maximum indicator will vary.
Despite such a powerful digital FPV system, it is possible to retrofit the drone with action cameras like GoPro Naked or BetaFPV SMO 4K, which subsequently allows the user to get the best aerial view in high quality both at home and outdoors, with the possibility of professional post-processing of footage through proprietary software from GoPro/Insta360.
It often happens that the entire accessible interface of the FPV drone is located in an extremely inconvenient place, and in order to get to it, sometimes it is necessary to resort to partial disassembly of the model. When designing the frame and its elements, the T‑MOTOR developers took care of this in advance and placed the Type‑C port of the flight controller in a vertical position in front of the quad.
The Vista Air Unit’s Type‑C port is likewise freely available, making it easy to activate and upgrade. At the same time, the developer focuses on the fact that protocols such as SBAS and F.port can be connected to the pad interface (allows you to switch between different consoles).
