We deliberately did not make two different reviews for Syma X11 and Syma X11C Air-Cam, since in fact they are absolutely identical quadrics, the only difference is in the camera present in the X11C model, where the letter “C” in the marking indicates this distinctive feature.

The Syma X11/X11C quadcopter reaches the consumer in a simple classic package. The quality of the drone, despite the budget niche, deserves respect. Plastic quality, glossy. The rotor protection is flexible, but at the same time durable and will fully cope with the task assigned to it. At the bottom of the beams is an LED-backlight.
Syma X11/X11C quadcopters do not have “Headless” mode and “Return to Hardware” function. This fact should not be considered a minus, because the absence of a headless mode will allow a novice pilot to immediately get used to controlling a drone with reference to the cardinal points. The implementation of the return to equipment function for cheap UAVs is usually not implemented in the best way and generally requires the participation of the pilot, as well as prior practice of application.
Recall that the Headless mode is relevant only for budget devices and is used only at the first stages of the piloting training process.
As noted above, the X11 and X11C models, both externally and technically, do not have any differences. The only difference is the built-in 2MP camera (for the X11C model), which in turn determines the battery capacity. The quadcopter version without a camera is equipped with a 200 mAh battery, with a 250 mAh battery.
Syma X11C AirCam
Syma X11/X11C Air-Cam quadcopters are equipped with brushed motors with gear transmission. For home flights, their potential is quite enough. Flying outdoors is also possible, but in complete calm.
The pilot will have 2 different activity modes: “Low” and “High”. The quadric is designed for a novice audience of UAV users.
As mentioned above, the camera is equipped with a model — Syma X11C Air-Cam. On board the quadric is a 2‑megapixel camera that takes photos and videos. Management is implemented from the control equipment. The quality of the shooting is below average and generally depends on the lighting. The installed memory card will be indicated by a green LED on the back of the quadcopter.
The Syma X11 quadcopter is equipped with a single-cell lipo-polymer battery with a capacity of 200mAh, and the Syma X11C with a capacity of 250mAh. In practice, the flight time for both was 6 minutes, which is very commendable.
Syma X11 and Syma X11C Air-Cam quadcopters are equipped with 4‑channel control equipment, classic for mini drones, operating at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. Power is supplied by 4 AA batteries (sold separately). Provides a removal distance of no further than 60 meters, which is also not bad for a drone from the budget segment.
In the test, the Syma X11 and Syma X11C Air-Cam quadcopters showed distinctive dynamics for the occupied mini quad segment. All their best sides are shown indoors, light weight affects. Flights in the fresh air are not excluded, but provided there is no wind.
Maximum dynamism is revealed in the “High” mode, especially when the propeller guards are removed. It is advisable for beginners to refrain from removing protection, at least at the first stage of familiarization with the controls. 360° flips are both effortless. The flight range is no further than 60 meters, which is quite normal. Flight time in practice is 6 minutes, with 6–8 minutes declared by the manufacturer.
In order to avoid any inconvenience in controlling the drone during the flight, we recommend pre-flight calibration of the gyroscope.
- Plug in the power to the quad
- Then turn on the control equipment
- Install the quadcopter on a flat surface
- Pick up the remote control and move the left and right sticks to the lower right corner and hold in this position. At this point, the blue LEDs on the front of the drone (in the form of a peephole) will go from solid to blinking.
- Wait for the transition back to a constant glow of the LEDs. Calibration completed, start flying.
