A distinctive feature of the novelty was the new hybrid thermal imaging camera developed in close collaboration with FLIR Systems. Notes:
Obstacle recognition function in all directions allows you to detect obstacles to the left/right, top/bottom, front/rear. On the port and starboard sides, it only works in Tripod mode. 360º obstacle detection is not provided. Damage sustained while flying to the left or right is not covered under DJI’s warranty, even if the flight was in Tripod mode. Be careful when operating the Mavic 2 and keep an eye on the app for alerts.

Motors
Powerful M2E Dual brushless motors work in tandem with ESC FOC (Field Oriented Control) sinusoidal speed controllers and low-noise rotors. The potential of the drone’s power plant allows it to develop a horizontal flight speed of up to 72 km/h with the lowest noise level.
Camera
Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual received a hybrid thermal imaging camera installed in a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. Based on a 4K visible light sensor working in tandem with a FLIR Lepton® thermal microcamera to capture thermal data. Together, these sensors allow pilots to fly at night as well as fly in challenging daytime conditions such as fog and smoke. The user has 4 intelligent display modes available in the DJI Pilot flight control application:
- FLIR MSX® FLIR’s patented MSX, or Multispectral Dynamic Imaging, applies real-time, high-quality visible light detail to thermal images to enhance visual detail, helping pilots quickly identify and interpret important data that may not be immediately visible to the naked eye.
- Spot Meter – Displays the average temperature of an object, helping pilots monitor and measure critical or dangerous objects while maintaining a safe distance.
- Area Measurement – Displays the average, minimum, and maximum temperatures, as well as the respective locations of each area, allowing inspectors to quickly assess properties and determine if property may be overheating.
- Isotherm – Allows pilots to designate specific temperature ranges for display using a custom color palette so that objects within the range reflect higher contrast and better visibility. This feature includes highly customizable profiles to help search and rescue pilots locate people and firefighters identify hotspots.
Food
The Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual is powered by a 3850mAh 59.29Wh intelligent quad-cell (15.4V) Lithium Polymer battery. Provides a maximum flight time of 31 minutes (in calm weather, at a constant speed of 25 km/h). Charging time is about 90 minutes.
Heating
The drone battery received a self-heating function. It can be activated automatically and manually when the ambient temperature is between -10°C and +6°C and the current battery level is above 50%. To activate the self-heating function of the switched off battery, it is necessary to press and hold the battery power button for 5 seconds. If the battery is installed in the drone and turned on, the function will be activated automatically.
Payload
Based on the possible applications of the drone, the developer completes the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual with three payload options:
- M2E Spotlight – double spotlight with a brightness of 2400 lumens. Implemented for missions in low visibility conditions. Spotlight is indispensable in search and rescue, as well as in inspection.
- M2E Speaker – loudspeaker with a maximum sound pressure level of 100dB (at a distance of 1m). Allows the pilot to play voice messages when necessary in order to maintain direct communication with people in the immediate vicinity of the drone. It can work in two modes: 1. Playback of voice messages (up to 10 voice messages) previously recorded using the DJI Pilot mobile application. 2. Transmission of voice messages in real time. Indispensable during rescue operations and emergencies.
- M2E Beacon – Designed to meet US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. The main feature of the Beacon is a bright flashing strobe visible at a distance of 4.8 km. Provides additional airspace awareness for other pilots flying nearby, allowing for safer missions in low light or at night.

User authentication
Password Protect – Allows you to prevent unauthorized access to the drone and built-in storage, the capacity of which is increased to 24GB for Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual (Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom – 8GB). When the function is enabled, password authentication will be performed every time the aircraft is activated, the control equipment is paired with the aircraft, and when the built-in storage data is accessed via a PC. All data remains protected even if the drone is physically damaged.
In addition, M2E Dual users who have increased data protection requirements can take advantage of DJI’s Local Data Mode (Local Data Mode). Activating the mode stops any communication between the paired mobile device and the Internet, thus providing additional security guarantees for operators involved in critical infrastructure, government projects, or other more complex tasks.
DJI AirSense
DJI AirSense is a key technology that provides an additional layer of safety when piloting in crowded airspace or near complex missions such as fire suppression, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring. At the heart of the AirSense system is a built-in receiver that allows you to receive real-time alerts from nearby aircraft about their current location via ADS-B signals *. All received data is displayed on the display of the paired gadget through the DJI Pilot mobile application.
*ADS-B (Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) or ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) is a technology that allows both cockpit pilots and air traffic controllers to observe aircraft movements with greater accuracy than previously available and receive aeronautical data.
Flight Autonomy 2.0
Provides omnidirectional obstacle detection using data from 8 × optical sensors and 2 × infrared sensors:
- Front sensors — dual imaging system. Measurement accuracy up to 20 meters. The range of the determined distance is from 20-40 meters. They allow you to detect obstacles and urgently stop the drone at speeds up to 50 km/h.
- Lower sensors — dual imaging system. Measurement accuracy up to 11 meters. The range of the determined distance is from 11-22 meters. The system works in tandem with infrared sensors. Measurement accuracy up to 8 meters. The complex provides a stable flight at a height of up to 50 meters, as well as a safe landing, provided that the surface is determined. Additional illumination is activated when there is insufficient light for the correct operation of the lower sensors.
- Sensors left and right — single imaging system. Recognition of obstacles at speeds up to 28 km / h. Ensure safe flight in Tripod mode.
- Rear sensors — dual imaging system. Measurement accuracy up to 16 meters. The range of the determined distance is from 16-32 meters. They allow you to detect obstacles and urgently stop the drone at speeds up to 43 km/h.
- Upper sensors — system of infrared sensors. Measurement accuracy up to 8 meters.
APAS
APAS (Advanced Pilot Assistance System) is the result of DJI’s extensive research to calculate the optimal flight path. The APAS pilot assistance system automatically adjusts the trajectory of flying around obstacles encountered in the path of the drone, thereby ensuring ease of use of the UAV and maximum safety. APAS creates a route in real time, which allows the drone to plan in advance possible flight paths.
GPS timestamping
GPS timestamping is a new feature that fixes the time, date and location of each recorded image (GPS coordinates), thereby guaranteeing the independent reliability of the received data, which can later be used in legal proceedings.
OcuSync 2.0
The second generation of OcuSync digital video transmission technology, thanks to the ability to switch between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz based on the level of channel congestion, improved interference resistance, increased FPV distance up to 10 km, increased video stream quality to 1080p, increased download speed to 40 Mbps and reduce the delay time to 120 ms.

The drone is controlled using the included equipment paired with an IOS or Android smartphone/tablet via the DJI Pilot mobile app. Removable control sticks. All for the sake of compactness. DJI FlightHub
DJI FlightHub is a web hub for consistent management of the DJI drone fleet. The web center will allow the operator to receive live telemetry from each drone involved in the mission, view in real time up to four video streams simultaneously, coordinate and manage the entire workflow online. The service is accessible through a web browser.
Discreet Mode
A kind of “Invisible” mode – turns off all the on-board illumination of the drone for the implementation of missions that require stealth movement, especially at night.
