What is CES 2021?

The Con­sumer Elec­tron­ic Show is an annu­al con­sumer elec­tron­ics show held in Las Vegas in Jan­u­ary spon­sored by the Con­sumer Elec­tron­ics Asso­ci­a­tion. The biggest and most impor­tant tech­nol­o­gy event on the cal­en­dar, which has been the launch­ing pad for every­thing from the VCR to the DVD play­er to 4K. Sonin Hybrid

The Sonin Hybrid Recruit is a rev­o­lu­tion­ary, ver­sa­tile 225 km/h lev­el-fly­ing drone designed exclu­sive­ly for first respon­ders. Kawasaki Heavy Industries

Kawasa­ki has­n’t revealed much about its new K‑RACER project. How­ev­er, in the month of Novem­ber, they made an offi­cial announce­ment that their spe­cial heli­copter-type drone had suc­cess­ful­ly passed the first flight tests in a ful­ly autonomous mode. It is known that the K‑RACER hybrid pow­er plant was devel­oped by Aero­space Sys­tem. The hybrid is based on a tur­bocharged engine from the Kawasa­ki Nin­ja H2R sport­bike, with a pow­er of 310 hp. The devel­op­er also not­ed that all the proven tech­nolo­gies in the devel­op­ment of the lat­est K‑RACER are planned to be used to cre­ate high-speed manned / unmanned heli­copters.

SkyDrive Inc.

Sky­Drive SD-03 eVTOL is a sin­gle-seat ver­ti­cal take-off and land­ing elec­tric vehi­cle devel­oped by the Japan­ese com­pa­ny Sky­Drive Inc, designed to expand human mobil­i­ty in a met­ro­pol­i­tan area. After the first flight of the pre­vi­ous pro­to­type in April of this year, the Tokyo-based devel­op­er said that their new mod­el SD-03 suc­cess­ful­ly made its first open demon­stra­tion flight.

SONY

In Novem­ber, Sony announced its new Airpeak project, a new drone busi­ness set to launch in the spring of 2021. So far, Sony has only shared the logo and pre­lim­i­nary plans, so we expect a full pre­sen­ta­tion at CES.

ORQA

ORQA is a young high-tech Croa­t­ian com­pa­ny devel­op­ing next gen­er­a­tion visu­al­iza­tion sys­tems for First Per­son View (FPV) and Remote Real­i­ty (RR) appli­ca­tions. Found­ed in 2018. They first made them­selves known at CES in Las Vegas in Jan­u­ary 2019, with the pro­to­type of today’s rev­o­lu­tion­ary FPV gog­gles for rac­ing drone pilots — Orqa FPV.One. It is expect­ed that at CES2021 they may bring an advanced dig­i­tal ver­sion of the FPV gog­gles — Orqa HD, which should com­pete with the unique dig­i­tal sys­tem from DJI Inno­va­tions.

DJI Innovations

Despite such a wide range of new prod­ucts pre­sent­ed by the com­pa­ny by the end of 2020, the devel­op­er made it clear to every­one that this is far from all and there will be more. Nev­er­the­less, to date, only two long-await­ed new prod­ucts are known, the announce­ment of which should take place in the near future. The first new prod­uct is the DJI FPV Drone — this is the first rac­ing drone from DJI, which the devel­op­er has been work­ing towards for sev­er­al years. About those. The char­ac­ter­is­tics of the nov­el­ty are still unknown, but its appear­ance clear­ly deter­mines the future poten­tial. The next new prod­uct will be the sec­ond ver­sion of DJI FPV gog­gles, which will replace the pre­vi­ous mod­el and will act as the main FPV head­set for the first rac­ing drone.

Anoth­er new cre­ation from the well-known Amer­i­can hob­by com­pa­ny Bea­gle Drones, which received max­i­mum sup­port on Kick­starter in less than an hour. The Nova is a redesigned, all-weath­er, crash-resis­tant cinewhoop drone with tech­nol­o­gy that allows users of all skill lev­els to safe­ly fly in FPV and shoot high-qual­i­ty video both indoors and out­doors.
