Quad­copter Syma X5SW is equipped with clas­sic col­lec­tor motors. The trans­mis­sion of torque is car­ried out through a gear­box. Pro­vide opti­mal dynam­ics in the UAV niche. Flips per­forms with­out fail­ures. The devel­op­er does not spec­i­fy infor­ma­tion about per­for­mance.

Camera

The Syma X5SW comes with a 0.3MP Wi-Fi cam­era. The qual­i­ty of shoot­ing is below aver­age to the declared HD qual­i­ty does not hold out. As men­tioned above, a Wi-Fi cam­era neg­a­tive­ly affects the oper­a­tion of con­trol equip­ment. In flight, the pic­ture con­stant­ly hung, despite the fact that the drone was in the air at a dis­tance of 15–20 meters. It was not com­fort­able to fly in FPV mode with it. There­fore, when choos­ing this mod­el, it is rec­om­mend­ed to aban­don the use of a stock cam­era. Buy the cam­era sep­a­rate­ly, our choice for price and qual­i­ty is Mobius MINI or Fire­fly Q6.

Battery

The Syma X5SW quad­copter is equipped with a 3.7V 500mAh lithi­um-poly­mer bat­tery, but it is also bet­ter to buy the same bat­tery, but with a capac­i­ty of 1200mAh. The stan­dard bat­tery pro­vides a flight time of no more than 7 min­utes. Charg­ing time is ≈ 2 h 10 min.

Control

The quad­copter is equipped with 4‑channel con­trol equip­ment oper­at­ing at a fre­quen­cy of 2.4GHz. In an inter­fer­ence-free zone, it pro­vides a removal dis­tance of no more than 120 meters. Pow­er is sup­plied from 4 × 1.5V fin­ger bat­ter­ies (pur­chased sep­a­rate­ly).

Test Drive

In the niche occu­pied by UAVs, the Syma X5SW quadro­copter in the test showed expo­nen­tial dynam­ics and con­trol­la­bil­i­ty, there is more than enough thrust from the motors. The present 6‑axis gyro­scope pro­vides sta­ble flight, flips work out effort­less­ly, pilot­ing in “Head­less” mode, as always, will be appre­ci­at­ed by begin­ners. The only minus of col­lec­tor motors is a small resource of work. If you notice that the quad­copter has ceased to pro­duce opti­mal thrust, and its activ­i­ty has become notice­ably slug­gish (with a ful­ly charged bat­tery), it is rec­om­mend­ed to pur­chase new motors and the quad will begin to real­ize its full flight poten­tial again.
The rotors on bud­get quad­copters always require manda­to­ry bal­anc­ing, this will help get rid of jel­ly and vibra­tions at the time of aer­i­al pho­tog­ra­phy.
