The other day, the second version of the modified flagship model X8SE 2022, announced in September 2021, went on sale in the official FiMi online store, and this despite the fact that the previous version has not yet got rid of such problems as the obstruction of the horizon by the camera gimbal , gimbal vibrations, flight instability, problems with the camera in 48-megapixel mode, lack of some flight modes …. Moreover, it is not possible to find out whether these problems were solved in the second version, since those. FiMi support does not want to talk about these topics.
What’s new?
In those. part, only one innovation of the X8SE 2022 V2 is reported: a connector for connecting additional accessories has been added. The first accessory announced was a combo module that combines two devices at once – the Megaphone speaker, which, according to FiMi, can be heard at a distance of up to 100 meters and a portable / drop device that allows the drone to carry and drop a payload weighing up to 200 grams.

There is no mention of this innovation of the X8SE 2022 V2 either in the description of the device or in the specification, but if you pay attention to the presented images with it, then in its lower part you can see an added pair of sensors and, apparently, an LED backlight consisting of a pair of LEDs . In fact, this option should improve the positioning of the drone when landing in low light conditions.
By the way, announced in parallel with the X8 SE 2022 V1 drone, a multifunctional remote control with an integrated screen has not gone beyond the rendered images, and it looks like we will not see it on sale in the near future.
Availability and price
The drone is already available for purchase in the developer’s online store in three EU / US trim levels, which differ in the presence or absence of a 64GB / 128GB microSD memory card. The combo accessory will be included in all packages. The standard EU/US bundle of the X8 SE 2022 V2 without a memory card will cost the consumer $499 (including taxes). For a drone in the maximum EU / US configuration, the developer set a price tag of $ 519 (including taxes).
