Eachine Assas­sin 180 quad­copter fea­tures 1806 2300KV brush­less motors. In prac­tice, they have proven them­selves from the best side, they smooth­ly cope with the task assigned to them, pro­vid­ing a sta­ble and dynam­ic flight.

Battery

The Eachine Assas­sin 180 quad­copter comes with a 3‑cell 1000mAh Lithi­um Poly­mer bat­tery. The bat­tery is made in a kind of box, which on the one hand facil­i­tates the change of pow­er, on the oth­er hand, excludes the upgrade with a more pow­er­ful bat­tery. Note the pres­ence of a light indi­ca­tion of the cur­rent state of charge. In prac­tice, the stock bat­tery pro­vid­ed the spec­i­fied flight time of 7 min­utes and no more.

Control

Eachine Assas­sin 180 is equipped with a 6‑channel remote con­trol oper­at­ing in the 2.4GHz fre­quen­cy band. Pro­vides a dis­tance of up to 400 meters. In prac­tice, it has estab­lished itself as a noise-resis­tant and sta­ble equip­ment. Pow­er is sup­plied by four “AA” Ni-MH 2400mAh bat­ter­ies includ­ed in the kit. Time of con­tin­u­ous oper­a­tion on stock pow­er is about 2 hours.

Sub­ject to pri­or firmware updates and PID set­tings, the Eachine Assas­sin 180 quad­copter showed good dynam­ics in the Acro mode in the test. Begin­ners will appre­ci­ate all its advan­tages, and the pres­ence of FPV gog­gles in the kit will only add adren­a­line joys from own­ing a drone.

As for the glass­es them­selves, it is worth not­ing the qual­i­ty of the dis­play of the out­put image, not fur­ther than the gold­en mean. There is grain­i­ness, the pic­ture floats in flight, the bat­ter­ies are quick­ly dis­charged. Suit­able only for the first expe­ri­ence, in the future it is bet­ter to look for more expen­sive options. In any case, it should be under­stood that pilot­ing with gog­gles is always bet­ter than con­trol­ling through an FPV mon­i­tor.

I liked the active LED back­light of the drone, when turn­ing left or right it works like turn sig­nals. I did not like that the angle of the cam­era is not adjustable. Let’s take this as a neg­a­tive!

If you decide to buy Eachine Assas­sin 180, then imme­di­ate­ly buy a set of rotors, prac­tice has shown that the screws includ­ed in the kit are very frag­ile and break even when installed on the drone.

But still, in the future it will be bet­ter to change the bud­get FPV gog­gles from the kit to a more expen­sive and bet­ter mod­el.
