Appearance
Motors
Eachine Assassin 180 quadcopter features 1806 2300KV brushless motors. In practice, they have proven themselves from the best side, they smoothly cope with the task assigned to them, providing a stable and dynamic flight.
Battery
The Eachine Assassin 180 quadcopter comes with a 3‑cell 1000mAh Lithium Polymer battery. The battery is made in a kind of box, which on the one hand facilitates the change of power, on the other hand, excludes the upgrade with a more powerful battery. Note the presence of a light indication of the current state of charge. In practice, the stock battery provided the specified flight time of 7 minutes and no more.
Control
Eachine Assassin 180 is equipped with a 6‑channel remote control operating in the 2.4GHz frequency band. Provides a distance of up to 400 meters. In practice, it has established itself as a noise-resistant and stable equipment. Power is supplied by four “AA” Ni-MH 2400mAh batteries included in the kit. Time of continuous operation on stock power is about 2 hours.
flight properties
Subject to prior firmware updates and PID settings, the Eachine Assassin 180 quadcopter showed good dynamics in the Acro mode in the test. Beginners will appreciate all its advantages, and the presence of FPV goggles in the kit will only add adrenaline joys from owning a drone.
As for the glasses themselves, it is worth noting the quality of the display of the output image, not further than the golden mean. There is graininess, the picture floats in flight, the batteries are quickly discharged. Suitable only for the first experience, in the future it is better to look for more expensive options. In any case, it should be understood that piloting with goggles is always better than controlling through an FPV monitor.
I liked the active LED backlight of the drone, when turning left or right it works like turn signals. I did not like that the angle of the camera is not adjustable. Let’s take this as a negative!
If you decide to buy Eachine Assassin 180, then immediately buy a set of rotors, practice has shown that the screws included in the kit are very fragile and break even when installed on the drone.
Price
Eachine Assassin 180 is priced at $209 on various marketplaces.
Conclusion
Eachine Assassin 180 $209

pros
- Compact/Reliable
- PC NAZE 32/GPS module
- Built-in barometer / electronic compass / acceleration sensor
- OSD
- brushless motors
- FPV goggles Eachine VR-007 included
- On the battery indication of the current charge
- Active LED backlight
- Transport case included
- Price
Minuses
- Requires adjustment before first flight
- Battery upgrade not possible
- Fragile rotors
- The kartika in FPV glasses floats while the drone is flying
- Camera angle not adjustable
Eachine Assassin 180 — the best option in terms of price and quality for the first acquaintance with a racing drone. Compact, moderately dynamic after some adjustments, and the FPV goggles included in the kit will prove that flying in them cannot be compared with any other FPV monitor. But still, in the future it will be better to change the budget FPV goggles from the kit to a more expensive and better model.
