About the product
A novelty from the well-known Chinese manufacturer of radio-controlled toys JIN XING DA is the JXD 510G quadcopter. Before this model, there were already similar versions, these are the Pioneer JXD 509W drones (FPV flight implemented via Wi-Fi) and JXD 509G (FPV at an analog frequency of 5.8 GHz without delay). In fact, the JXD 510G quadrocopter is a modified 509G. The developers took into account the disadvantages of the previous model, corrected them, updated the design and added a little more functionality to the quad.

Appearance

Motors
The JXD 510G quadcopter is equipped with brushed motors with gear transmission. For a budget quad, they do an excellent job.

flight properties
In flight, the JXD 510G showed the usual dynamics for this UAV niche, which is quite enough for a novice pilot. All functions and modes worked without comment. The altitude hold function is implemented without the participation of sensors. Everything is trite simple, thanks to the left stick being in the center position. He holds the height, but if the wind, then the participation of the pilot is necessary, since the quadric will be demolished in his direction.
Camera
Unlike other predecessors in this series, the developers of JIN XING DA have finalized the HD camera on the JXD 510G. The picture is now clear and corresponds to the declared 720p. But, there were some drawbacks and the “jelly” that is present both at the time of the flight and at the time of watching the video is to blame. The problem is that the camera is attached directly to the body of the quad and does not have the simplest dampers.
This shortcoming is solved by installing the camera on any vibration damping material, such as foam or rubber. As a result, this minus can be eliminated by almost 90%, it becomes much more pleasant to fly, as well as to watch a recorded flight.

Battery
The quad is powered by a classic single-can lithium polymer battery at 3.7V 600mAh 30C. Provides an average flight with the camera turned on up to 7 minutes, which is generally the norm. Charging the battery takes about 2 hours. Therefore, we recommend that you buy spare batteries in advance. Ideally, if they are 1200mAh.
The battery is charged by USB. The end of the charge cycle will be indicated by a red light on the charge itself.

Control
The JXD 510G quadcopter comes with classic 4‑channel equipment, which was equipped with the predecessors JXD 509W (509G). Operates at a frequency of 2.4GHz. Provides a distance of up to 50 meters. Yes, not much, but if you consider that the quadric is for the novice segment of consumers, then it’s quite normal. Power is supplied from 4 1.5v AA batteries (purchased separately).
The flight from the first person for this model is realized through the FPV monitor. The picture is broadcast from the drone’s camera in the analog frequency range of 5.8 GHz without delay (unlike FPV via Wi-Fi). The analog approach gives the pilot the ability to perform full-fledged flight in FPV goggles. And this is a completely different feeling. The monitor has built-in power. The battery charges via USB (cable included) in about 2 hours. As in the case of the drone battery, the red indicator on the charger will indicate the end of charging. The battery life of the monitor on a single charge is about 1 hour.

Price
On various Internet trading platforms, the average price for a JXD 510G quadcopter fluctuates around $90.

Conclusion
JXD510G $80

pros
- Design
- Functionality
- 5.8G FPV
- Altitude Hold
- Headless mode
- Return to transmitter
- 720p camera
- Ready to fly out of the box
- Does not require registration
- Price
Minuses
- Collector motors
- The chamber does not have vibration damping elements
- Flight time
- During operation, one of the landing supports fell off due to self-destruction of the threaded connection (it is treated with a thread fixer)
The JXD 510G is currently one of the best deals under $100. The pilot gets a quad with altitude hold and return to the transmitter from the button, an HD camera with quite acceptable shooting quality and, most importantly, FPV flight at an analog frequency without delay. Fully justifies the money spent. Suitable exclusively for beginners who want to combine in their first experience and flight training in general and adaptation to flying in FPV goggles, which they will eventually come to. Age limit 14+.
