Introduction
In the second half of 2015, JJRC was the most active in the multicopter market, launching 10 new models in six months. The crown was the model – JJRC X1. The first quadcopter with brushless motors. Inexpensive (about $130) versatile drone with the makings of a racing drone.
Equipment
- Drone JJRC X1
- Two-cell lithium-polymer battery (7.4V) 1300 mAh 20C (with JST connector and balancing connector)
- Control equipment with an operating frequency of 2.4 GHz (powered by 4 AA batteries, not included)
- Charger
- 4 × rotors (2CW/2CCw)
- 4 × spare rotors (2CW/2CCw)
- 4 × rotor protection
- Landing legs
- Propeller tool
- Instruction
Appearance
The body of the JJRC X1 is made of plastic in an acute-angled design, imitating metal. Strong enough to withstand a minor crash, it certainly won’t survive a serious blow. Landing legs feel a little fragile.
The battery occupies the entire compartment, there is no place for installing a more powerful battery.
There are camera mounts on the bottom of the case, most likely JJRC is going to announce an FPV version of the X1 in the future. Next to the mount is a mini JST connector for connecting it.
Each beam of the JJRC X1 has an LED light, but it is too weak for night flying.

- Removal distance
Minuses
- Weak LED backlight

This is JJRC’s first low cost brushless quadcopter. I must admit that JJRC surprised me this time. X1 has no fancy features. A simple yet powerful quad with good flight performance and long reach, capable of lifting 40-50 grams of payload. The advantage of the model will be appreciated by beginners for whom the potential of collector UAVs is not enough. Age limit 14+.
