Seconds from fatal crash

Icelandic photographer Bjorn Steinbekk has managed to capture rare footage of a natural phenomenon with his new DJI FPV drone. Filming location southwest of Iceland, Fagradalsfjall volcano. At the risk of the drone, Bjorn sent it up to the vent of the volcano, along the main flow of outflowing lava at a relatively low altitude, which could already cause fatal destruction to the quad, since the temperature of the lava can reach up to 1250 ° Celsius, and then he managed to fly over the magma-spewing vent , which only by a lucky chance did not touch the drone. “I really thought I would never see my drone again, but damn it was so cool to capture this!!!” said Bjorn. And now look how beautiful and exciting it was at the same time, especially for the UAV owner:

What’s with the drone?

The drone not only survived the extreme heat, but also miraculously avoided being hit by randomly flying pieces of magma. Bjorn later confirmed that the drone survived: “The drone is fine, not a single scratch. To be honest, I just decided to step on the gas to see what would come of it. At worst, I would have lost the drone, at best I would have gotten these great shots.” Later, the author posted another video of an active eruption in Iceland. To capture these shots, he used a standard GPS drone with a camera (brand and model not reported). These shots are equally impressive:
