Motors

On the Dro­mi­da Kodo HD quadro­copter, col­lec­tor-type motors of increased safe­ty, in-house devel­oped by Hob­bi­co Inc. They work in con­junc­tion with speed con­trollers (ESC). The on-board elec­tron­ics are con­fig­ured in such a way as to min­i­mize the spon­ta­neous start of the motors. The poten­tial is quite enough to ful­fill the tasks set by the devel­op­er.

Camera

On board the quadro­copter is a dig­i­tal cam­era with man­u­al tilt adjust­ment. Pro­vides the max­i­mum video res­o­lu­tion: 1920 × 1080p at 30 fps AVI for­mat. The pho­to is tak­en in JPEG for­mat. In terms of qual­i­ty, both pho­to and video, the cam­era deserves the high­est score in the occu­pied UAV seg­ment.

Battery

Dro­mi­da Kodo HD is equipped with a sin­gle-cell (3.7V) lithi­um-poly­mer bat­tery with a capac­i­ty of 350mAh. Spe­cial­ly designed for this drone mod­el, main­ly because the weight of the drone played a very impor­tant role. In tests, the max­i­mum flight time was 5 min­utes. Charg­ing time is no more than 25 min­utes.

Remote Control

The clas­sic remote con­trol oper­ates at a fre­quen­cy of 2.4 GHz. With all the skep­ti­cism, it turned out to be con­ve­nient, I didn’t have to get used to it. Runs on two AAA bat­ter­ies. In the con­di­tions of a metrop­o­lis, it pro­vides a flight range of no fur­ther than 50 meters, but in field con­di­tions it will show the declared 70m.

The devel­op­ers have done every­thing for the pilot to expe­ri­ence max­i­mum dri­ving plea­sure. The fuse­lage of the drone is designed with aero­dy­nam­ics in mind, the weight has been reduced, col­lec­tor motors are installed under the con­trol of speed con­trollers, equipped with a 3‑axis gyro­scope and 3 accelerom­e­ters to ensure smooth and sta­ble flight.
