Built-in super bright display

The DJI Smart Controller has a built-in ultra-bright 5.5-inch FHD touch display. According to the specification, it provides brightness up to 1000 cd/m², which is almost twice the brightness of the display of any modern smartphone (500-705 cd/m²). The developer assures that due to this brightness, the user will not experience discomfort when piloting in sunny weather.

Brightness can be adjusted both manually and automatically. Automatic mode is implemented through a built-in light sensor and a function – SRE (Sunlight Readable Enhancement), which allows you to achieve optimal display brightness even in direct sunlight.

OcuSync 2.0

The controller is equipped with the second generation technology – OcuSync 2.0 Full-HD, thanks to which it supports automatic frequency change between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, thereby reducing the impact of environmental interference on drone control and video stream quality. Provides max. FPV removal distance – 10 km.

Efficient and portable

The remote control is paired with the drone immediately after it is turned on, which allows you to quickly lift the drone into the air when necessary. According to the promo video, everything about everything takes 30 seconds, against 1 minute 30 seconds when paired with standard equipment. Detachable sticks coupled with the portable design of the controller will always keep it close.

The control equipment is adapted for stable operation at temperatures from -20°С to 40°С.

Go Share

Go Share is a new feature available in the pre-installed DJI GO 4 app. Allows you to quickly transfer captured photo and video content from control equipment to your mobile device.

Custom Android

The DJI Smart Controller is based on custom Android, adapted to work both with the pre-installed DJI GO 4 and DJI Pilot applications, and with third-party mobile applications that provide the user with additional sharing and editing capabilities.

DJI is not responsible for the incorrect operation of third-party applications. If the installed third-party application does not allow optimal use of the controller, it is recommended to uninstall the application or restore the hardware to factory settings!

Audio/video preparation

For live broadcasting, the DJI Smart Controller has a built-in microphone and speaker, and an HDMI port allows you to play video in up to 4K at 60 fps in H.264 and H.265 formats.

skytalk

SkyTalk is another new feature that allows the user of the smart controller to broadcast the drone’s camera image to social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, it also allows you to create short videos and share them with one tap.

Food

The Smart Controller is powered by a built-in 2-cell (7.2V) lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery with a capacity of 5000mAh. According to the specification, it provides up to 2.5 hours of continuous operation. Charging time from the stock charger is 2 hours.

The remote supports QC2.0 fast charging via the Type-C port located at the bottom of the remote.
