LiDAR PRIME + aOrion Heli-E
TOPODRONE, a Swiss developer and manufacturer of high-precision lidar equipment for retrofitting drones, vehicles and backpacks, announced the synchronization of the LiDAR PRIME scanner and the aOrion Heli-E UAV via Velodyne’s Alpha Prime sensor.
This mapping solution bridges the gap between heavy and expensive lidar aircraft and light drone lidar systems. It allows users to expand the scope to capture large areas that previously could only be explored using manned aircraft or helicopters.
Lidar Prime is the most advanced lidar system from TopoDrone, with an operating range of up to 300 meters, covering a corridor 500 meters wide and more than 20 km² in a single flight with the aOrion UAV. The Lidar Prime + aOrion Heli-E system uses the Alpha Prime sensor, Velodyne’s world-class lidar sensor with a large coverage radius.
