Despite the imminent announcement of the DJI M3E, the developer is reluctant to share details about the latest commercial machine. This photo was shared on social networks by one of the permanent DJI insiders, which shows a close-up of the camera of the upcoming DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise drone. It is expected that the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise will be available in two versions – with and without a thermal imaging camera. For now, we don’t have any technical specifications for either the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise or the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Thermal. However, it’s safe to assume that these two drones will outperform their predecessor, the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced, by an order of magnitude.
Main application
The latest DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise, like all its predecessors, will prove itself to the maximum in the field of first responders. The drone will replace the previous Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced, which was announced on December 15, 2020, and will sit in the UAV niche right below the new DJI M30 (T) drone.
When is the announcement?
According to the latest insider information, the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (Thermal) drone will be presented as part of the annual DJI Airworks 2022 event, which has been gathering all admirers of modern unmanned technologies in one place for the seventh year in a row. The event will be held from October 10-12, 2022, in Las Vegas, in the apartments of the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

DJI M3 Enterprise on the way
Despite the fact that for the first time DJI started talking about the imminent appearance of a new portable commercial drone of the “Enterprise” series back in April of this year, visual information, and even more so the specification of the novelty, has not yet been disclosed. Recently, DJI insiders are talking about the Mavic 3 Enterprise again, through a series of images that reveal not only the appearance of the drone, but also a number of key features.

First specification
On one of the uploaded images, the developer revealed a number of key features of the special drone, and to be precise, the features of the onboard camera, the form factor of which is extremely close to the cameras of another newly-made commercial DJI drone Matrice 30 (T), which also predetermines the appearance of the M3E in two versions Mavic 3 Enterprise and Mavic 3 Enterprise Thermal. By the way, relying on the camera of the Matrice 30T drone, we can say with confidence that the presented images reflect exactly the version of the Enterprise Thermal, which, despite the similar features of the older brother’s camera, will receive a slightly different filling and, accordingly, potential:

- 3 – 16x optical zoom
- 300x hybrid zoom
As you can see, the right side of the image is deliberately cut off, which most likely reveals the key features of a wide-angle and thermal imaging camera.
Appearance
The appearance of two versions is also indicated by the different use of carbon elements of the drone fuselage.
Control equipment
The latest image shows the latest DJI RC Plus control hardware, which was announced in tandem with the aforementioned new Matrice 30 (T), but the “Plus” abbreviation is missing from the presented image.
Announcement date
Information about the new product is extremely limited, but insiders say that the commercial version of the Mavic 3 Enterprise should appear very soon in July-August 2022.
