In my model, the rear, right door is curved. I started to level it, the racks burst and it turned out as shown in the photo below. You will have to change the door or solder the racks. If you solder, then you need to prepare for painting the entire car. Painting one door is not cost-effective due to the age of the paint, which has changed its color over the years.
Rear-view mirrors were installed on the wings of the car on the left and right sides. At the moment, they are broken and only fasteners remain from them, which will be difficult to pull out of the seat.
Step-by-step assembly of the Volga parts in their place
If the assembly of the car is complicated, it always begins with the fact that the body is turned over and the first thing we do is put the glass in place. In this case, we first install the trunk, and then cover it with glass.
If you look closely, in the left corner, there is no piece of glass and the trunk lid mount is not securely fastened.
Do not forget to install a walkie-talkie to the floor of the car, which should be in the luggage compartment. We hold the glass and put 4 doors in their places so that the fingers fall into the holes.
We collect the hood and Torpedo
We do the steps the way I write, otherwise it may not work out and take a lot of time. Open the front doors and replace the hood. We take the Torpedo with tweezers and carefully insert it into its place, and only after that it is necessary to close the front doors.
So that the doors, rear trunk, Torpedo and hood do not fall off, we impose the bottom of the car so that all the door fingers fall into place in the grooves. When you apply the bottom, close all 4 doors tightly and only then apply the bottom of the machine.
To fix the bottom, insert the rear bumper into place. After that, the back is strengthened, but not completely. Hold the bottom so it doesn’t move.
Install the cardan shaft as shown in the photo. We put the rear pair of chassis on two teeth. We put springs on top and attach the cardan shaft to the rear axle. We snap the springs into the grooves. The back of the car is assembled and proceed to the front.

We turn to the assembly of the front end: the front bumper, radiator grille and two parts from the engine compartment. All this must be installed sequentially.
First we insert the bumper, hold the front of the Volga with two fingers so that nothing falls out.
Raise the hood and click the grille into place.
Then install the spare parts in the engine compartment with tweezers. Put an Aeroflot flasher on the roof.
