Monster Quadcopter 3 in 1!

Hi all. I want to share my thoughts with you today about anoth­er wild thing from Chi­na. It will be a quad­copter all-ter­rain vehi­cle. In short, three com­plete­ly dif­fer­ent radio-con­trolled mod­els can be mold­ed from this set.

Our RC mod­el comes in a fair­ly large box. Dur­ing the time she got to me, she was pret­ty shab­by. It can be seen that the box was crushed on the road, and the Chi­nese store did not guess to pro­tect it with some kind of film or sim­ply did not want to. From the pic­tures on the box, it imme­di­ate­ly becomes clear what exact­ly can be assem­bled from this set.

The quad­copter has a 0.3MP cam­era. Pho­tos and videos are already imme­di­ate­ly clear what qual­i­ty will be obtained, so it is bet­ter to imme­di­ate­ly aban­don this idea. You can install the appli­ca­tion on your smart­phone and watch what the equip­ment is shoot­ing while dri­ving. The qual­i­ty is only enough to spy on a cat.

Let’s run through the kit and see what we have. Since this was orig­i­nal­ly a quad­copter, we put spare screws, there is a charg­ing cable, a screw­driv­er.

Hav­ing removed the beams with motors, we con­nect two large wheels. I imme­di­ate­ly see that one wheel came bro­ken — the plas­tic in this place is very flim­sy.

All these inter­change­able parts are attached to the body, into which we insert a non-stan­dard bat­tery. There is also a charg­er that can han­dle the bat­tery in an hour and a half. The bat­tery lasts for 10 min­utes of fly­ing and about 25 min­utes of dri­ving, of course, depend­ing on the inten­si­ty of use of the mod­el.

The cam­era is locat­ed in front and is adjustable only up and down. There are two blue LED win­dows on the front and a red brake light on the back.

By the way, the kit also includes screw pro­tec­tion for begin­ners.

The equip­ment is pow­ered by 4 AA bat­ter­ies.

With the help of equip­ment you can take pho­tos and videos. There are sev­er­al lev­els of quad­copter gas con­sump­tion and you can do flips. There is a head­less mode. There is also a retractable mount in which you can fix your smart­phone and see what the radio-con­trolled mod­el is shoot­ing.

Well, let’s see what the equip­ment that can be assem­bled looks like.

The quad­copter holds a good height, you can even fly indoors. The sticks are soft. The car bounces about 15–20 cen­time­ters. At the same time, I still didn’t under­stand why cater­pil­lars are need­ed if the dri­ving mechan­ics are the same as with wheels: dri­ving in dif­fer­ent direc­tions and rotat­ing in place. There are big ques­tions about the qual­i­ty of plas­tic. As you remem­ber, the wheel was ini­tial­ly cracked. It may have bro­ken dur­ing ship­ping, but the plas­tic itself is flim­sy. In the place where the cat­a­pult was attached, it broke.
