Thanks to this mode, you can shoot an extra­or­di­nary video in the short­est pos­si­ble time with­out resort­ing to post-pro­cess­ing tools at all. In Sto­ry mode, there are spe­cial fil­ters and music that will allow you to cre­ate a unique video. And to make the video even bet­ter, you should use the DJI Mimo app. With it, you can not only shoot a video, but also be able to edit it.

Mode Basics

As already men­tioned, fil­ters and music allow you to cre­ate a tru­ly unique video. Even if you are new to this busi­ness, it will not be dif­fi­cult for you to do this. You just need to press the Start but­ton, and then Osmo Pock­et will deal with every­thing.

Sto­ry mode will delight you with dif­fer­ent shoot­ing pat­terns. You can choose the one that is most suit­able for you to record video mate­r­i­al. Here are some tem­plates you can use to improve your video record­ing:

• Panora­ma 180 degrees;

• Turn­ing a shoot into a fea­ture film.
  

You will cer­tain­ly find among the tem­plates exact­ly what you need.

If you use Glam­or Effects, then you can feel like a real Hol­ly­wood star. The face will be auto­mat­i­cal­ly retouched. You have the abil­i­ty to change the size of the eyes, lips, and many oth­er para­me­ters, just the way you want.

How to Use Story Mode Properly

The first step in order to use the Sto­ry mode is to update the Osmo Pock­et soft­ware to the lat­est ver­sion. In addi­tion, the DJI Mimo app will also need to be updat­ed.

When you’ve updat­ed every­thing, you just need to hold down the pow­er but­ton until the Osmo Pock­et turns on.

Now Osmo Pock­et needs to be con­nect­ed to your smart­phone, after which the appli­ca­tion will turn on auto­mat­i­cal­ly.

To switch modes, just swipe down until you find the Sto­ry mode.

On the left, you can find a video that shows how your video will look like in the future.

All you have to do is press Start and you can start shoot­ing with the tem­plate you have cho­sen. Switch­ing between sta­bi­liz­er modes will allow you to under­stand how the cam­era will behave. To cus­tomize set­tings and effects, you need to enable Glam­or Effects.

All tem­plates that are in the appli­ca­tion are divid­ed into parts. Press the record but­ton in the app when you’re ready to shoot parts of your video.

When the record­ing is com­plet­ed, you will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to review the video. After that, you can leave it or delete it and shoot a new part of the video.

If all parts of the video are to your lik­ing, then just save the video. You can share the cre­at­ed video with your friends or on social net­works.
