A drone is such a device that you still need to get used to controlling it. Moreover, new modes and control techniques appear regularly. This is especially true for DJI drones. If you want to always take high-quality photos, then you need to use a large number of functions of the device. And some features may raise questions even for experienced people who fly drones. Today, we’re going to share with you 10 tips on how to use the DJI app the right way to learn how to master your drone and take great photos.
1. Correctly adjust the axis of the stabilizer
Find a section in the application called live-feed. Press and hold the center of your cell phone screen until you see a blue circle. You need to drag the circle that appears in the direction you want to shoot.
2. The range of movement of the stabilizer in the upward direction should be limited
Go to settings in the app. There you can enable blocking. It all looks like this General Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Enable Upwards Gimbal Tilt Limit to 30 Degree. This ensures that the shadows from the drone’s propellers are not in the frame when you need to take a photo.
3. Stabilizer control
It will be best if you put the C1 or C” buttons in such a way that they control the movement of the camera up and down. This will allow you to conveniently control the stabilizer.
4. Turn on the grid
If you turn on the grid in the application, it will make it much faster and easier to adjust the composition. Simply align the main subjects so that they are along the grid line. Photos will be much more interesting.
5. Automatic exposure
To quickly find the right exposure for a photo, you should use automatic exposure. Just tap the screen a few times.
6. Put the lock on auto exposure
If you decide to block the autoexposure function, this will allow you to save your settings, which will relate to aperture and shutter speed. Thus, you will not be able to change them by accidentally touching the screen of your mobile device.
7. Switching between focuses
Shooting is different, and depending on the situation, you need to choose the right focus. If we talk about shooting in disgusting lighting, then it is better to use manual focus. If you intend to make a dynamic video or focus on a specific subject, then you should select automatic focus.
8. Change screen brightness
On a sunny day, the glare from the sun can make it difficult to see anything on the screen of a mobile device. You will be helped by increasing the brightness to the maximum value. You can easily see everything that is happening on the screen.
9. Quick transition to full screen mode
You can switch to full screen mode with just a double tap. To do this, you need to get into the settings of the application and turn on General Settings -> Full Screen -> Double Finger. This will avoid accidental transition to this mode.
10. Histogram
Thanks to this function, you will be able to see the number of dark and light points that are in the frame. On the left side of the graph, dark pixels will be concentrated, and on the right side, respectively, light pixels. In addition, in the center of the screen you can find the middle tone. It is worth trying this function, because it makes it much easier to adjust the exposure.
