About the product
3DR Site Scan Drone is a new premium product from the company 3D Roboticsdesigned for professionals. We have already talked in detail about the standard 3DR Solo model, now this drone is an upgraded Data platform designed for use in construction and design.
The company recently announced a $53M capital increase and is looking to focus on building its 3DR Site Scan Drone product. Now their drone will be equipped with a 20.1MP Sony DSRL (Digital Single Reflex Lens) camera.
Camera
3DR Site Scan is equipped with a Sony UMC-R10C camera with a CMOS Exmor sensor, APS-C sensor and a powerful BIONZ X processor. This arsenal allows you to get high-precision 20.1MP images. In addition, the camera received a quick-release E-Mount lens. It will be suspended using a specially designed suspension.
Sensor Benefits
The Exmor CMOS image sensor and APS-C sensor will be capable of capturing 13 times more light than cameras with 1/2.3-inch sensors. This new sensor provides less noise and higher dynamic range. This means it also works great in low light conditions.
