This souvenir car was bought a year or a half ago. I ordered it on the Internet, received a parcel through “Nova Poshta” cash on delivery. Frankly, the packaging is much worse compared to the models made in the 80s. Externally, the ZIM GAZ-12 model looks quite attractive, the main body of the car is made of metal. After reading a little on the bottom of the car, I found out that it was made in China, which disappointed me very much.

Dismantling the car for parts.
The front bumper and this review provoked me to disassemble the car, which upset me even more. As a souvenir of Chinese origin, the fasteners of the front bumper broke off and had to be restored a little.
Damage is not significant, but not pleasant. I made the fasteners from a toothpick, glued it to the bumper with superglue and it turned out great. Although the model is from China, it’s a pity that she treats her badly, especially since the money is paid.
I inserted a toothpick all the way into the disassembled body so that it would not move further and bit off with cloves. I glued the resulting fasteners with tweezers to the bumper in place where the previous fasteners stood. When assembling the bumper fell into place as if it were necessary.
Plastic transparent windows are separated and soldered to the body separately. All plastic parts that are attached to the metal body of the model are soldered.
The bottom of the machine is made of black plastic and fastened with two bolts. On the bottom are the details of the machine: a fuel tank, a cardan shaft, an exhaust pipe (with the tip of the pipe painted in silver), two pairs of rear springs and that’s it. The rest can be attributed to the protection of the bottom of the machine.
Attached to the bottom of the chassis wheels: front and rear. The wheel covers look realistic, and the rubber wheels have a tread that looks like the real thing.

I didn’t encounter any issues during assembly. If it was a model from the USSR, you would have to tinker a bit, everything is simple here.
The plastic interior was inserted unreliably. There was a feeling that he did not find his seat, so he moved back a little, forward a few millimeters.
I attached the bottom to the main body of the machine and tightened it with two bolts. After that, put the bumper in place.

This model was purchased on a site called “Radiator”. The order was placed, delivery 2 days (depending on which city or country you live in). Careless packaging was immediately thrown away. The car was bolted to a plastic pallet, which was also thrown away because of its sloppy appearance. In general, the most beautiful of all is the main model.
Despite the fact that the doors, hood, trunk do not open in this model, it looks impressive and fits well into the collection.
